Obituary of Elizabeth (Betty) Spinelli

Elizabeth (Betty) Dorothy Riviello Spinelli, beloved wife of the late Ercole P. Spinelli, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Harvey and Dorothy (Anzalone) Riviello and was raised in Old Forge, PA. She was educated in the Old Forge School District. In her adult life she resided in Bridgeport, CT, moved to Monroe, CT and her last seven years she was a resident of Branford, CT. Her life was enriched by a large and loving family. Betty is survived by her children, Michael Kasich, Deborah Salerno (Jay) and Genevieve Gallo (Skip), her grandchildren Kiesha Quattrucci (Donald), Justyn Kasich (Angela), Paul Kasich, Marco Weiss (Maggie), Jessica Gallo, Brittany Lindberg, AJ Gallo and Michelle Kasich, 10 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sisters; Rose Marie Farash of FL, Dorothy Kollman of NC, brothers; Robert Riviello (Ofelia) and Edward Riviello (Christine) all of PA. She was predeceased by her daughter Cheryl Weiss (Rudy) and beloved grandsons Dion Roach and Wayne Lindberg, her brothers Gerry Riviello, Ross Riviello, Samuel Riviello, Arthur Riviello, Harvey Riviello and Albert Riviello and her sister Joan Andrews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 10:00 am directly in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. At Betty's request, there will be no calling hours.
