Obituary of George Milano

U. S. Navy Veteran George Milano, Sr., age 90, of Fairfield, a retired employee of Sikorsky Aircraft, died on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 in Cambridge Manor, Fairfield. Born in Bridgeport on January 8, 1915, he was a son of the late John and Mary Bagnano Milano and a Fairfield resident for 56 years. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Milano was a former baker and former owner and operator of Isaacs Bakery of Bridgeport. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Mary Bizak Milano, a son, George Milano, Jr. and his wife, Sandra of Fairfield, a foster daughter, Judy Bennett and her husband, Richard of Goshen, a brother, Arthur Milano and his wife, Mary of Bristol, a granddaughter, Jennifer Longobardi and her husband, Dominic, a great granddaughter, Jamie Lynn and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by two sons, John and David Milano and a grandson, Vincent Milano. Funeral Information Funeral Services will take place on Friday, January 6, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Fairfield for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends and relatives may call on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
