Obituary of William C. Moore

William C. Moore, age 68, of Trumbull, a retired electrical engineer for ASML and longtime employee of Perkin-Elmer, died on Saturday, May 29, 2004, at St. Vincents Medical Center. Born in Derby, he was a son of Alice Byrne Moore of West Hartford, and the late William C. Moore. He grew up in Shelton and was a Trumbull resident for 42 years. Mr. Moore received a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Connecticut and an M.S. in electrical engineering from Yale University, and he was a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. He enjoyed running, tennis and basketball. He was an avid student of the German language and traveled extensively in Europe.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his beloved wife, Marilyn Towle Moore; a son, William C. Moore of Mountain View, CA; two daughters, Susan E. Moore of Norwalk and Ellen C. Moore of Mountain View, CA; a brother, Allan Moore of Bethlehem, CT; a sister, Sister Margaret Moore of West Hartford; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Friends are invited to meet at St.Theresas Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull, on Friday, June 4, 2004, at 10 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull. Friends may call on Thursday, June 3, 2004 from 4-8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
