Obituary of John D. Morris
U. S. Army Veteran
John Daniel Morris, age 85, of Trumbull, loving husband of Frances (Staples) Morris, father of Mark Morris, Katharine (Morris) Lucas and Meg Morris, stepfather of Robert Staples, grandfather of Julian and Ethan Morris and Marissa (Staples) German, died on Thursday, May 28, 2009 in Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Born on December 4, 1923 in DeGolia, PA, he was a son of the late Carl William and Mary Edith Gregg Morris. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, he served as Corporal, Field Artillery, in the European Theater. He received a BSBA in 1948 and MBA in1949 from Cornell University. Mr. Morris worked an as Accountant in General Electrics financial accounting operation from 1949-1986. He was a parishioner of Notre Dame of Easton Parish where he served as parish treasurer. He was also a member of the Easton Lions Club and a 55 Alive instructor for AARP. Funeral Information
A Memorial Mass celebrating his life will take place on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Notre Dame of Easton Church, Easton. The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull has been entrusted with arrangements. Donations Information
