Obituary of Emily Mae O'Connell
Shelton Resident
Emily Mae Utz OConnell, age 97, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Edwin A. OConnell, died peacefully on Saturday, June 02, 2012 at Griffin Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on April 26, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Lyons Utz.
Emily was affectionately known as Mrs. Hallmark because she was kind and caring and always had a card for everyone. Mrs. OConnell was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be deeply missed.
Survivors include two loving daughters, Barbara (Ronald) Beloin of Prospect and Elizabeth (Charles) Jackson of Shelton, four cherished grandchildren, Edward Jackson, Lori (Rick) McFarren, Brian (Kelly) Beloin and Dr. Colleen (Larry) Farrell, three great grandchildren, Ricky, Mikayla and Samantha as well as several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by four sisters, Mary, Lily, Anna and Betty and a brother, Joe. Funeral Services will take place on Monday, June 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may call on Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Donations Information
