Obituary of Maria Furnari

Resident of Trumbull Maria Furnari, age 87, of Trumbull, a retired seamstress, died on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Bishop Wicke Health Care Center. Born in Calatabiano, Sicily, Italy on November 11, 1919, and came to the United States with her entire family in 1958. Mrs. Furnari was previously a resident of Bridgeport for many years before moving to Trumbull. Survivors include her beloved husband of 62 years, Gaetano Furnari, son, Alfio Furnari and his companion, Rose Jerzak of Stratford, daughter-in-law, Carol Furnari of Derby, daughter, Carmela Boughton and her husband, Robert of Bridgeport, son, Joseph Furnari and his wife, Isa of Trumbull, daughter, Phyllis Rega and her husband Frank III of Monroe. She also leaves 11 grandchildren and a great grandson who she cared for and loved very much, Donna Wagner, Thomas Furnari, MaryAnn Bourgeois and her husband, Eric, Eileen Roberto and her husband, Marc, Amy Lynn, Robert and Michael Boughton, Anthony and Joseph Furnari, Brooke Bouchard and her husband, Daryl and Marissa Rega, a cherished great grandson, Joseph Daryl Bouchard, and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother Peppino Fazio. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 25, 2007 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
