Obituary of Theresa Parnoff
Theresa Mary "Susie" Vazzano-Parnoff, age 86, of Trumbull, widow of Virgil C. A. Parnoff, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at her daughters residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Guiseppe and Domenica Poeta Vazzano. She worked alongside her late brothers, Rudolph , Frank, Steven and Orlando Vazzano at Savoy Linen Service for 40 years. She was a former member of the Legion of Mary of Holy Rosary Church and enjoyed knitting. Mrs. Parnoff took great pride in her family. She loved and cared for many of the children of her brothers and sisters and will always be remembered for the fine holiday feasts she prepared each year until her health prevented her from doing so.
Survivors include her son, Laurence V. C. A. Parnoff, Esq. and his wife, Barbara of Stratford, her daughter, Angela Silano-Parnoff and grandson, John Laurence Silano of Trumbull, who both cared for her at home, sisters, Gloria Caltabiano, Loretta Malafronte and Beatrice Mastronardi, all of Trumbull, grandchildren, Joseph Stephen Silano and his wife, Helene of Derby, Virginia Theresa Silano-Marconi and her husband, Gregory of Trumbull, Laurence V. Parnoff, Jr. of Stratford and Lauren Parnoff of Stratford, great grandchildren, Dawn-Marie Silano, Sarah Silano and Jacqueline Silano along with a step grandson, Leonard Dzienis and his wife, Sherri and their son, Jacob Dzienis, all of Stratford and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Virgil, Mrs. Parnoff was pre-deceased by sisters, Lillian Mastronardi and Margaret Gulia and brothers, Orlando Vazzano, Frank Vazzano, Stephen Vazzano, and Rudolph Vazzano.
The family once again would like to thank Karen Blade Tew for her loving care, emotional support and the attention she gave Mrs. Parnoff, as well as the United Visiting Nurse Association. Their efforts are greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 10, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Private Interment will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Sunday from 3-7 p.m.
