Obituary of Laura J. Pasacreta

Trumbull Resident Laura Jean Savo Pasacreta, age 52, of Trumbull, entered into eternal rest with her family at her side on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at St. Vincent Medical Center, Bridgeport, following a courageous six year battle with multiple sclerosis and a two year battle with lung cancer. Born and raised in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Vito Savo Sr. and Delores Bruno Savo. Laura was a member of the Central High School Class of 1974 and attended Housatonic Community College. She was employed at the Watermark at 3030 Park and had also served as a union steward. Survivors include her devoted husband of 20 years, Carmine G. Pasacreta of Trumbull, her mother-in-law, Carmela Pasacreta of Trumbull, a brother, Vito Savo Jr. and his wife Gail of Bridgeport, two sisters-in-law, Margaret Gleason and her husband John of Bridgeport and Elizabeth Scanzillo and her husband Thomas of Monroe; her very special nieces and nephews, Meghan Gleason, Lauren Gleason and John Gleason Jr., Julia Scanzillo, Matthew Scanzillo, Joseph Savo and Kristen Savo, a great niece, Raniya and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Reznikoff and the staff of Medical Specialists of Fairfield, the entire staff of 7 East at St. Vincent Medical Center and Vitas Hospice for the dedicated care they provided. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, December 24, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
