Obituary of Rowena Paumi

Rowena R. Paumi, age 98, of Trumbull, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2013 in St. Joseph's Manor. Born in Bridgeport on December 29, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Gaetano and Josephine Garufi Paumi. She was a receptionist at the former Avco for many years before retiring. She was a member of the Trumbull Democratic Party, president of Stern Village for many years and a dedicated parishioner of Holy Rosary Church, Bridgeport. She was a loving and caring aunt who will be deeply missed by all. Survivors include a niece, Josephine Toth of Trumbull, a nephew, Anthony Melita of Stratford, great niece Stephanie Lindley and her husband Tom and great nephew, Terry Toth and his wife Diane, great great nieces, Katie Lindley and Krysti Toth as well as several additional great great nieces and nephews and great great great nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
