Obituary of George E. Pieger

Resident of Bridgeport George Edward Pieger Jr., age 77, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of 47 years of Elaine Lolatte Pieger, died suddenly on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on May 27, 1930, he was a son of the late George E. Sr. and Anna Fotta Pieger and was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Pieger was a graduate of Warren Harding High School and Fairfield University. He was a personal physical fitness trainer and an avid lifetime fisherman. In addition to his beloved wife survivors include his five devoted children, George Pieger III of Stratford, Marc Pieger of Shelton, Glen Pieger and his fiance Lori Bishop of Bridgeport, Dana Pieger Lambert of Trumbull and Sandy Pieger of Shelton, a brother, Robert Pieger and his wife Gail of Shelton, his mother-in-law, Nellie Lolatte of Bridgeport, three cherished grandchildren, Timothy Lambert, Samuel Lambert and Marco Pieger as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum of St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
