Obituary of Basilio Ramos Pinto

Basilio Ramos Pinto, age 94, of Monroe, beloved husband of the late Maria Pinto, died on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at his residence. Born in Meios, Guarda, Portugal on April 26, 1917, he was a son of the late Jose Ramos Pinto and Maria da Conceicao Pinto. He was a machinist with Empire Engineering for 15 years. He was a simple man who enjoyed gardening and working on his cars. But most of all he was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather who truly enjoyed the time he spent with his family. He will be deeply missed. He was pre-deceased by his son, Orlando Pinto. Survivors include four children, Margarida Andrade and her husband Manuel, Maria Emilia Ferreira and her husband Antonio, Maria Helena DeAndrade and her husband David, all of Monroe, a son, Joe Pinto and his wife Barbara of Oxford, daughter-in-law, Marina Pinto of Florida, nine grandchildren, Julie Videira and her husband Fernando, Fernando DeAndrade, Paul Ferreira and his wife Heide, Milena Seara and her husband Aderito, Jim DeAndrade and his wife Tracey, Christine DeAndrade-Recine and her husband Paul, Jennifer Pinto and her fiance Joe, Michael Pinto and David DeAndrade and his fiance Kerri, 13 great grandchildren, Rachel, Brianna, Amber, Chris, Mya, Hailey, Kyle, Conor, Megan, Natalie, Jason, Matthew and Andrew as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Jude Church, Monroe for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will take place in Meios Cemetery, Guarda, Portugal. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 8:45 to 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
