Obituary of Josephine Galatie

Resident of Bridgeport Josephine (Jeanette) Auriemme Galatie, age 88, of Bridgeport, a homemaker, died on Sunday, January 21, 2007 at Maefair Health Care Center. Born in Bridgeport on February 11, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Carmen and Pauline DeLoranzo Auriemme and was formerly a Trumbull resident for many years. Survivors include her devoted husband, John Galatie, a loving son, Dennis Galatie, a daughter-in-law, Diane and two loving granddaughters, Nicole and Lauren, all of Monroe, a sister, Millie Weckerly of Philadelphia, PA, a brother, Andrew Auriemme of Texas, three brothers-in-law, Joseph and Richard Galatie, both of Stratford and Walter Kotelsky of Bridgeport, three sisters-in-law, Gloria Bennett and her husband, Merton of Stratford, Teresa Capozzi of Bridgeport and Anna Galatie of Milford as well as several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Jennie Hillje and a brother, Daniel Auriemme. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton St., Bridgeport on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
