Obituary of Edward Joseph Pleban

Edward EJU Joseph Pleban, age 81, of Hamden, formerly of Trumbull, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 13, 2013. Born in Bridgeport on June 18, 1932, he was a son of the late John Pleban and Josephine Szelag Fortuna and stepfather, the late Joseph Fortuna. He served in the U. S. Army and was a supervisor with Hartley and Parker of Stratford for over 25 years. Mr. Pleban was a drummer in the Twarog Brothers Polka Band, and was a carpenter who was very proud to have built his first home in Trumbull. He was predeceased by his sister, Stella DelVecchio. Edward was a proud father and grandfather who leaves three children, Richard Pleban, Janice Pleban and Jerry Pleban and his partner, Butch Foucault, four grandchildren, Justine, Brittany and Courtney Flores and Michael James Bonis as well as two nieces. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment with Military Honors will follow in St. Michaels Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:00-10:30 a.m.
