Obituary of Alfredo J. Albuquerque

Loving Son, Father, Brother & Uncle Alfredo J. Albuquerque Sr., age 52, of Monroe, died suddenly on Monday December 14, 2009 at his home. Born on May 30, 1957 in Esmolfe, Penalva do Castelo, Portugal, he was a son of Laura Albuquerque of Monroe and the late Emidio Albuquerque. He attended Central High School and was a graduate of Bullard Havens Technical School and was employed as an electrician for A & R Electric. Affectionately known to all as Uncle Fred, he was a gentle, loving and outgoing and could always bring a smile to everyones face. He had a true love for his family and could be found making everyone laugh at a party or gathering. Alfredo was a proud father, loving son, brother and uncle. His memory will live on through his children but he will be sadly and deeply missed by all. He was predeceased by a nephew Marco P. Ventura. In addition to his loving mother, survivors include his loved and cherished children, Sean C. Albuquerque and his fiance Mindy Therriault, Alfredo J. (AJ) Albuquerque Jr. all of Monroe and their mother Joyce Lamas of Naugatuck and Kyle J. Albuquerque and his mother Louisa Albuquerque of Monroe, brothers and sisters, Otilia Ventura and her husband Leonel, Leonor Santos and her husband Carlos all of Bridgeport, Esperanca Alves, Alexandre Albuquerque and his wife Celeste all of Monroe, Antonio Albuquerque and his wife Louisa of Oxford and Paulo Albuquerque of Bridgeport, his godfather, Alfredo Pinto of Stratford, godmother, Luzita Lopes of Fairfield, 18 nieces and nephews, 27 great nieces and nephews as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday December 19, 2009 at 8:00 am in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home 419 White Plains Rd. Trumbull and at 9:00 am in St. Jude Church, Monroe for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m. Donations Information In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made through the funeral director.
