Obituary of Casmer Thomas Pulieri

Bridgeport Resident Casmer Thomas Pulieri, 84 entered into eternal life peacefully with family at his side on Thursday, September 4, 2008 reuniting his spirit with his beloved wife Sarah after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born September 16, 1923 in Wilkes Barre, PA he was a Bridgeport resident for 70 years. Casmer was a proud US Army Veteran during World War II assigned to the 276th Infantry regiment where he fought in New Guinea, The Philippines and Japan. He was retired from The Bridgeport Insulated Wire Co and was also co-owner of the Fireside Inn, Newtown CT for many years. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, caring brother. . He will be sadly missed by his beloved children, son Joseph Pulieri and his wife Nancy, daughter Sharon Lisko and her husband Andrew, son Donald Pulieri, grandchildren Alicia, Amy, Joseph, Lauren Pulieri, Cheri and Karyn Lisko, and five great-grandchildren. Also left to cherish his memory are his sister Ann Augustine and her daughter Joanne Peccerilli and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, Mary Mazzei and Peter Pulieri. He was a devout Christian, longtime faithful member of the 700 Club and attended the Black Rock Congregational Church. He enjoyed listening to Christian music and loved watching and coaching sports, most of all he was delighted in the time spent with his family. Most recently he enjoyed volunteering at Bridgeport Hospital where he was always found smiling and comforting patiences. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, September 8, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in Black Rock Congregational Church, 3685 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-6 p.m.
