Obituary of Albert D. Rick
Albert Rick, age 80, of Stratford, beloved husband for 56 years of Rose Barba Rick, loving father of Barbara Carbone of Orange and Beverly Rick of Stratford, and loving grandfather of Katie Carbone of Orange, passed into eternal rest on Friday, July 29, 2005 at CT Hospice, Branford. One of seven children, he was born August 23, 1924 to the late Nicholas and Concetta Rick. He served his country as part of the 825th Tank Destroyer Unit during World War II. With his three brothers he owned and operated C & R Cleaners in Milford and later opened Oronoque Cleaners in Stratford. He enjoyed fixing cars, fishing, gardening, bird watching, nature and animals, especially Snuggles. Friends, family and all he met enjoyed his unique humor. He was dedicated to his beloved wife and daughters and he especially loved and took pride in his granddaughter Katie. To his girls, he was a mechanic, plumber, electrician, carpenter, and all around repairman, and always our hero, coming to our rescue in times of need. He is and will be sadly missed but will live in our hearts forever.
He is survived by three sisters, Vivian Maresco of Bridgeport, Doris Zielinsky of Trumbull and Lillian Piccirillo of Scottsdale, AZ, a brother, Eugene Rick of Bridgeport and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Vincent Ricchetti and Leonard Rick. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford. At the request of the family interment will be private. Friends may call on Tuesday morning after 9 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
