Obituary of Adelina Bossio

Resident of Stratford Adelina Bossio, age 99, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Pasquale Bossio, died peacefully on Sunday June 17, 2012 in Lord Chamberlain Health Care Center. Born on January 1, 1913 in Calabria, Italy she was a daughter of the late Guiseppe and Serafina Boratanno Bossio. Mrs. Bossio enjoyed gardening and knitting, but she truly enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be deeply missed. She was predeceased by a son, Carmine Bossio and a brother Jerry Bossio. Survivors include three children, a daughter, Fina DeLorenzo and her husband John of Newtown two sons, Gino M. Bossio and his wife Sharon, Joseph Bossio and his wife Alice all of Stratford, , six grandchildren, Gina Garvin and her husband Christopher, Glenn Bossio, Joseph Bossio, Dana Bossio, Antoinette Wlasuk and her husband Peter and Andrea Young and her husband Mark; seven great grandchildren, Peter, John, Tara, Allison, Matthew, Hannah and Sean, daughter-in-law, Maryann Bossio of Stratford, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. James Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Chapel Mausoleum of St. Michaels Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
