Obituary of George A. Bottone

George A. Bottone, Sr., age 88, of Bridgeport, husband of the late Marie (Mary) Parrella Bottone, died on Thursday, July 14, 2011 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on May 19, 1923, he was a son of the late Albert and Maria Meceli Bottone and was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport. Mr. Bottone was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. He was a machine setup man at General Electric with over 47 years of service and a member of the G.E. Quarter Century Club. Survivors include George Bottone and his wife Jon of Cheshire, four grandchildren, Geoffrey, Raleigh, Nathaniel and Andrew Bottone, a sister, Nancy Ligouri and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Carl Benco and Louis Bottone, a sister, Susan Gallant and his step-father Dominic Gulli. 

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 21, 2011at 12:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Thursday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
