Obituary of Walter A. Rudis

Resident of Trumbull Walter A. Rudis, age 94, of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Louise Valint Rudis, died on Thursday, February 10, 2011 in St. Vincents Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on March 21, 1916, he was a son of the late Karl and Mary Subalowski Rudis and was a longtime resident of Bridgeport. At a young age, Mr. Rudis was a truck driver while attending trade school at night to become a tool and die maker. Before his retirement he worked at Dictaphone of Bridgeport for over 35 years. A do-it-yourself fix it guy he enjoyed doing little projects around the house and also built he own television. He was pre-deceased by three brothers, Joseph, Anthony and Edward Rudis and a sister Thecla Rudis. Survivors include a loving son Gary Rudis and his wife Rosemary of Fairfield. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:30 a.m. in St. Margaret Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
