Obituary of John Francis Russo

John Francis Russo Jr., age 36, beloved husband of Tamara Malinda Jaworoski Russo, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2013 in Yale New Haven Hospital after a courageous four year battle with cancer. Born in Geneva, NY on January 10, 1977, he was a son of John Francis Sr. and Nancy Dianne (Cullinan) Russo of Geneva, NY. John was a master plumber and the owner and operator of Heritage Plumbing Services for over four years, his motto was Do it right the first time. He was a high school standout in both basketball and baseball and went on to play Division 1 collegiate baseball where he was captain at the University of Hartford, graduating in 1999. He was proud to have been inducted to the Geneva Sports Hall of Fame. An avid Cleveland Browns fan, John was a dedicated husband, son, brother, and friend who will be sadly missed. He was a fun loving, outgoing person who was respected and loved by all who knew him. In addition to his wife and parents, survivors include, a brother, Brian Russo and his wife Machelle and a niece, Isabella Russo, all of Canandaigua, NY, his paternal grandmother, Susan Russo of Geneva, NY, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leon Francis and JoAnne Elizabeth Jaworoski of Stamford, brothers-in-law, Jason Jaworoski and his fiance, Patricia Valencia of Stamford, Dennis Jaworoski of Stamford and Michael Gazo and his wife, Celine of Monroe, and his boxer dog, Harley. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his paternal grandfather, Salvatore Russo and maternal grandparents, Michael Cullinan and Charlotte Eighmey. Funeral Information Friends can greet the family members from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A Mass of Christian Burial and interment will take place in Geneva, NY.
