Obituary of Catherine F. Salamon

Loving and Devoted Mother and Grandmother Catherine Stonoha Salamon, age, 82 of Bridgeport, died peacefully on Friday December 10, 2010 in St. Vincents Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on November 3, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Anna Kubina Stonoha. A lifelong Bridgeport resident she was a retired employee of Textron Lycoming. Catherine was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed. She was predeceased by her husband John Salamon Sr. and four brothers and two sisters, Edward, Michael, James, Robert, Frances and Mildred Stonoha. Survivors include a loving and devoted son, John Salamon, Jr. of Bridgeport; a cherished grandson, John P. Salamon of Easton; a brother, Joseph Stonoha and his wife Jean of Easton as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday December 14, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated by Rev. Alfred Pecaric. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Monday from 4-7 p.m.
