Obituary of Gina Saputo

Gina Gabrielli Saputo, age 88, of Bridgeport, a homemaker, died on Monday, September 6, 2004 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on January 16, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Ceasar and Elvira Mattarsini Gabrielli. She was pre-deceased by her husband, John J. Saputo, two sisters, Betty Marini and Armonda Vetro and a son-in-law, Russell Sweeney, Sr.

Survivors include a daughter, Rosemarie Sweeney of Bridgeport, a brother, Sam Gabrielli and his wife, Flo of Trumbull, three grandchildren, Russell Sweeney, Jr. and Anthony Sweeney, both of Boston and Timothy Sweeney of Bridgeport, as well as several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 9, 2004 at 11:15 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. 

Friends and relatives may call on Thursday morning after 10:00 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
