Obituary of Edith M. Scinto
Edith Mary Scinto entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 25th, 2013. A longtime resident of Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose (Riccio) Scinto. Edith graduated from Harding High School, Class of 1948. She then worked for the Bridgeport Police Department as a Stenographer and for the Remington Arms Co. as an Executive Secretary. Edith also helped as a bookkeeper for the family business- The Imperial Fuel Co. She was an active member of the Ladies of UNICO and the Holy Rosary Parish Guild. Edith was predeceased by her parents and two loving brothers, Frank J. Scinto and Anthony J. Scinto. Survivors include her six nephews who are forever grateful for their Aunts role in their young lives: Frank and Patrice Scinto of Cheshire; Dr. John Scinto and his wife Cindy of Yorktown Heights, NY; Fred and Diane Scinto of Naugatuck; Mark and Cathy Scinto of Huntington; Joe and Marie Scinto of Woodbury; and Richard Scinto of Trumbull. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Margarets Shrine, 2523 Park Ave., Bridgeport. Entombment will be in St. Michaels Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Friday, September 27th, from 4:00-7:30 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Donations Information
