Obituary of Shirley Olivia Sportini

Former Trumbull Resident Shirley O. Olivia Sportini, age 72, of Stratford, a retired Executive Assistant for Terex Corp., died on Monday, February 19, 2007. Born in Bridgeport on October 12, 1934, she was a daughter of Florence DeBone Olivia of Fairfield and the late Charles J. Olivia. She volunteered for Swim Across the Sound and enjoyed golf, tennis, and bowling. Survivors include two sons, Michael Sportini and his wife Sheila of Monroe and Brad Sportini of Bridgeport, a brother Ronald Olivia of TX, sisters, Mary Ellen Mason of Monroe, Sandra Volpe of PA, and Karen Olivia of TX, grandchildren Matthew, Alexandra, and Connor Sportini, and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brother Charles A. Olivia. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, February 23, 2007 at 8:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Jude Church, Monroe for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
