Obituary of Josephine Alfano

Josephine Palumbo Alfano, age 86, of Monroe, beloved wife of the late Enrico Alfano, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Brooklyn, NY on November 11, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Carmela Siminario Palumbo and was a longtime resident of Brooklyn before moving to Monroe. Before her retirement, Mrs. Alfano was a seamstress and a real estate agent in Brooklyn for many years. She was an active parishioner of St. Jude Church in Monroe and enjoyed activities with her friends at High Meadows Condominiums. Survivors include her loving daughter, Francine Catti and her husband Armand of Trumbull, a son Lawrence Alfano of FL, a grandson, Brian Catti and his wife Catherine of Milford, a granddaughter, Melissa Bergeron and her husband Eric of Wallingford and three great grandsons, Joshua and Gavin Bergeron and Rocco Catti. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Jude Church, Monroe for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
