Obituary of Dorothy H. Swansiger

Resident of Bridgeport Dorothy Herb Swansiger, age 86, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Michael Swansiger, died on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. A lifelong resident of Bridgeport, Mrs. Swansiger was born on December 30, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Leo A. and Elizabeth Kapmeyer Herb. Survivors include her eight children, Judith Burr of Bridgeport, Linda Michelin of Ansonia, Michele LaBarba and her husband Vincent of Derby, Monica Napolitano and her husband William of FL., Michael Swansiger and his wife Cynthia of Trumbull, Mary Swansiger and her husband William Luneski of Ansonia, Mark Swansiger and his wife Sarah of Newtown and Maureen Karolkowski and her husband Michael of Shelton, a brother, Raymond Herb and his wife Elaine of VT, 13 grandchildren: Susan, Vinny, C.J., Matt, Alyssa, Tara, Tyler, Casey, Katie, Lily, Abby, Jacqueline and Mikie, three great grandchildren, Tori, Liza and Logan as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Leo Herb and a sister, Elizabeth Cummings. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
