Obituary of Victoria Tarner

Stratford Resident Victoria Vietri Tarner, age 91, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late John Tarner, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 in Gardener Heights. Born in Bridgeport on February 6, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Assunta Carrafiello Vietri. She was a File Clerk for Dictaphone retiring after 15 years of service. Mrs. Tarner was a member and volunteer at the Derby Senior Center, and was also a member of T.O.P.S. In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by two daughters, Dolores LaLiberte and Sandra Arcuri, two brothers, Carmen and Daniel Vietri, and two sisters, Theresa Smith and Anna Sciuto. Survivors include two sons, Alan Flyte and his wife Doris of Milford and Kenneth Flyte of Naugatuck, a daughter, Denise Ortiz and her husband Eduardo of Stratford, a sister, Rose Savo of Seymour, a sister-in-law, Laura Vietri of Stratford, 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
