Obituary of John Giacobbe

Loving Father, Son, Brother and Uncle John Giacobbe, age 57, of Bridgeport, died on Monday, October 10, 2011 in St. Vincents Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on June 4, 1954, he was a son of Joseph and Josephine Silano Giacobbe of Bridgeport. John was an employee of the City of Bridgeport Board of Education with over 15 years of service. John was a fun loving person who enjoyed life to the fullest. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed sailing. But above all he enjoyed the time spent with his family. He was a loving father, son, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed. In addition to his parents Joseph and Josephine, he leaves a cherished daughter Joy Magnarella and her husband Jason of Stratford, two sisters; Phyllis Framularo and her husband Charles of Newtown and Mary Autuori and her husband Tony of Trumbull, a brother; Joseph Giacobbe, Jr. and his wife Julie of Easton as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Margarets Shrine, 2539 Park Ave., Bridgeport on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
