Obituary of Maria Teresa Vargas Martinez

Maria Teresa Vargas Martinez, age 101, of Easton, beloved wife of the late Miquel Angel Martinez, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at St. Vincents Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Maria was born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico to Cayetano Vargas and Fransisca Navarro. Survivors include two daughters, Olga Vitale and her husband, Tom of Easton and Migdalia Kollar of Bridgeport, grandchildren, Joanna and her husband Jack Goncalves, Thomas Vitale Jr. Christopher Vitale, Jennifer Larson and her husband Greg, Keith Kollar and his wife Mina, Kipp Kollar and his wife Mary, and Kimberly Wood and her husband Jeff; great grandchildren, Laela, Sarah, Arianna, Amber, and Dylan Kollar, Dalia Mae Wood, Joshua, Ashley and Jakie Goncalves, Ethan Vitale, Jason and Devin Larson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Theresa Martinez, two infant twin sons, Miguel and Gilberto, her son-in-law, Robert Kollar, six brothers and a sister. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Kassandra for all the compassionate and dedicated care she provided to Maria. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 10 a.m. meeting directly in Notre Dame of Easton Church, 655 Morehouse Rd., Easton. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
