Obituary of Phyllis Giannino
Resident of Stratford
Phyllis Marranzino Giannino, age 71, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 11, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer with her family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on December 13, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Pizzuto Marranzino. She enjoyed her rides through Lordship and to the casino and dancing with her grandchildren. She was a retired transfer agent for Subway World Headquarters and was previously employed by Spectors and Harstans Jewelry Stores. Survivors include her husband, Michael P. Giannino, two daughters, Lucille Giannino Marottolo and her husband Frank of Stratford and Jennifer Giannino and special friend Marni Gibson of Norwalk, two brothers, Alex Marranzino and his wife Delores of Stratford and Daniel Marranzino and his wife Theresa of Stratford, two sisters Norma Marino and her husband Frank of Huntington and Lucille Patane and Anthony Errico of Stratford, uncle Ralph Pizzuto of Sarasota, FL, aunt Jennie Cretella of Bridgeport as well as two grandchildren Ganine and Julian and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford on Friday, January 15, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Putney Oronoque Cemetery, Stratford. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
