Obituary of Joseph Robert Bruno
Joseph Robert Bruno, age 72, of Bridgeport, went to the Lord after a long illness on Saturday, June 25, 2005. Born in Bridgeport on March 28, 1933, he was a son of the late James and Rose Bruno, and was a life long city resident. Joseph served his country during the Korean Conflict and was the past Commander of the DAV in Stratford. Joseph was a sports enthusiast whose favorite teams included the New York Yankees and the New York Giants.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 46 years, Lucille E. Bruno, his loving daughters, Cory Bromley and Jill Bruno, both of Bridgeport, a sister, Jenny Parisi of Stratford, two brothers, Frank Bruno and his wife Virginia, of Fairfield , and Dominick Golello of New Jersey, his mother in law, Mary Rich of Stratford, three cherished grandchildren whom he loved, Alexis Bromley, Joseph Bromley and Joy Giacobbe , and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by three sisters, Lucy Jarusinsky, Santa Laurello and Marion DiFranco.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at 10 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11 a.m. in St. Margaret Shrine Chapel, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Monday from 4 -8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Raphaels/ St. Margarets Parish, through the funeral director.
