Obituary of Elizabeth Zacchia

Loving wife, mother and grandmother ZACCHIA- Elizabeth Filakovsky Zacchia, age 91, of West Hartford, died on Friday December 25, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. Born in Kipling, Ohio on November 23, 1918, she was a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Sadlak Filakovsky and was a retired book keeper for Dictaphone. Mrs. Zacchia was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards, but her greatest enjoyment was babysitting her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Adolph J. Zacchia Sr. Survivors include her two children, a son, A. Jerome Zacchia Jr. and his wife Rosemary of Shelton, a daughter, Judith E. Small and her husband Alan of Rocky Hill, a brother John Filakovsky of Trumbull, a sister, Jeanine Stamos of Hendersonville NC, four grandchildren, Robert J. Zacchia and his wife Michelle, Gary A. Zacchia, Thomas Small and his wife Carolyn and Amy Rosenthal and her husband Matthew, eight great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at10:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
