Obituary of Mary Palma Marrocco Buonanno

Bridgeport Resident Mary Palma Marrocco Buonanno, age 90, born in Bridgeport on April 1, 1917, a widow, daughter of the late Rocco Marrocco and Josephine Sorrentino Marrocco, joined her dearly departed husband Carmine A. Buonanno on Monday, November 12, 2007 at St. Vincent Medical Center due to complications of renal failure. Our mom was a courageous fighter. A chef like cook, and fancy baker of cookies, she enjoyed the food network and her family. She will be sadly missed. She was an avid Yankee fan and her love of dogs will never be forgotten. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her brother Dominick Morrocco. Left to cherish her memory is a son, Constantine Buonanno and his wife Joyce, a daughter, Angela Buonanno both of Bridgeport, two cherished grandchildren Christopher and Juliane, a great grandson, Carmine, two sisters, Lucia Mucherino of West Virginia and Eleanor Morris of Bridgeport; special nephew, Donald Morrocco. She is also survived by several additional nieces and nephews and cousins, brothers in law Nicholas Buonanno and his wife Veronica and George Morris. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her special private care givers, and her loving daughter Angela, her main care giver and the staff of St. Vincent Medical Center. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Entombment will be in the Pilgrimage Mausoleum of the Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
