Obituary of Joseph J. Calabrese
Joseph J. Calabrese, age 87, of Trumbull, a retired repair technician for Dictaphone Corp. with 38 years of service, died on Saturday, July 28, 2007 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers, MA. Born in Bridgeport on December 1, 1919, he was a son of the late Salvatore and Antonina (Giannone) Calabrese and was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Antoinette (Cappuccina) Calabrese and a sister Sadie Fasulo.
Joe was a member of the VFW, Post #10059, Trumbull, the Trinacria M. A. Society, the Quarter Century Club at Dictaphone and the Stern Village Social Club.
Survivors include his devoted daughter, Phyllis Kinson and her husband Michael of Lynn, MA, two sisters, Rita Merlotti of Bridgeport and Mary Giannattasio of Bridgeport his cherished grandchildren, Adam, Michael Jr. and his wife, Megan, several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Prayer services will take place on Thursday August 2, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 from 4-8 p.m.
