Obituary of Maryanne Alves

Maryanne McConachie Alves, age 49, of Stratford, died on Monday, August 22, 2005 in St. Vincent Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on November 14, 1955, she was a daughter of Dorothy Conway McConachie of Bridgeport and the late Peter J. McConachie, Sr. A resident of Stratford for 23 years, Mrs. Alves was a former secretary for St. Vincent Medical Center with over 20 years of service.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 26 years, Antonio Alves, a daughter, Jenna Alves and two sons, Jason Alves and Antonio P. Alves, all of Stratford, a brother, Peter J. McConachie, Jr. and his wife, Bobbie of Milford, a sister, Ellen Reilly of Shelton, cousin, Thomas Hudak of Vermont, her father-in-law, Ernesto Alves of Trumbull and brother-in-law, Justino Alves and his wife, Fernanda of Trumbull, as well as many additional cousins and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was pre-deceased by a brother, Timothy J. McConachie, an aunt, Mary Hudak and her mother-in-law, Cesaltina Alves. 

Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 26, 2005 at 9:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
