Obituary of Maria Andrade

Resident of Trumbull Maria Jardim Andrade, age 91, of Trumbull, died on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Lowell, MA on October 8, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Maria Sardinha Jardim. She was pre-deceased by her husband Joao (John) D. Andrade Jr. and three brothers, Francisco, Joao and Antonio Jardim. Survivors include three children, Manuel Andrade and his wife Rosa of Trumbull, Polly Ann Teixeira and her husband Armando of Trumbull, Mary Lucille Gouveia and her husband Joseph of Wallingford, a brother, Manuel Jardim of South Africa, six cherished grandchildren, Lisa Salgado, Ann Marie Holinko, Bryan and David Teixeira and Amanda and Allison Gouveia, four beloved great grandchildren, Acacio and Felecia Salgado and Jarod and Jacob Teixeira as well as many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed sewing, needlepoint and embroidery. Funeral Information Funeral Services will take place on Friday, May 1, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Friday morning from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service.
