Obituary of Benjamin A. Cundare

Benjamin A. Cundare, age 77, of Bridgeport, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014 at St. Marys Hospital in Waterbury. Born in Bridgeport on June 11, 1936, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Angelina Millemaci Cundare. Mr. Cundare was a United States Army Veteran and worked as an electrician with Nash Engineering and later with the Kennedy Center before his retirement. Ben was an athlete who enjoyed swimming and was an avid handball player at the YMCA and L.A. Fitness. Survivors include two sisters, Josephine Melillo and her husband Dorvallo and Ann Nealy and her husband Frank all of Bridgeport, two nieces, Laura Lorenzo and her husband Louis of Stratford and Cathy Arrighetta and her husband Glen of Miller Place, NY as well as three great nieces and a great nephew. Ben was devoted to his family and friends, and genuinely cared about everyone. Ben and his family recognized and appreciated the compassion and loyal friendship his friends bestowed upon him throughout his illness. Funeral Information Friends can greet the family members at a memorial gathering that will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Interment with full military honors will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
