Obituary of James F. DeLuca

Bridgeport Resident James F. DeLuca, age 94, of Bridgeport, died peacefully on Friday, November 28, 2008 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Derby on May 11, 1914, he was the son of the late Angelo and Marie Garofola DeLuca. Mr. DeLuca was a retired employee of Singer Manufacturing as well as Senese Manufacturing. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching the New York Yankees, New York Giants and UCONN Womens Basketball. He enjoyed time spent with his family and will be deeply missed. Survivors include his devoted wife of 67 years, Lillian Mantone DeLuca, a sister Anna Cullo of Massachusetts, nieces and nephews, Gary DePeano of Stratford, Michael Biroscak of Bridgeport, Henry Faulkner and his wife Shirley of Fairfield, Mary Lou Leslie and her husband Ronald of Florida, Daniel Faulkner and his wife Sharon of Fairfield, Diana Cauchon and her husband Alan of Shelton and Randy Faulkner and his wife Michele of Fairfield as well as several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
