Obituary of Domingos Esteves Dias

Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather Domingos (Dias) Esteves, age 76, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Adelaide Santos Dias, died peacefully on Wednesday February 16, 2011 at Northbridge Health Care, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Arcos Montalegre, Portugal on March 1, 1934 he was a son of the late Domingos Esteves and Teresa Dias. Domingos came to the United States in 1978 and settled in Bridgeport. He was a retired employee of Cornell Car and was a member of the Vasco da Gama Portuguese Club. In his retirement he could be found helping his daughter and son-in-law at Gofinhos Fish Market and Pequannock Liquor Store. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed. In addition to his devoted wife of 50 years, Adelaide, survivors include two daughters, Licinia Pinhero and her husband Carlos of Shelton and Maria Elizabete Dias of Bridgeport, two grandchildren, Kasie and Kevin Pinhero as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 429 Huntington Rd., Bridgeport on Monday February 21, 2011 at 9 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will take place in Arcos Cemetery, Portugal. There will be no calling hours.
