Obituary of Joan P. Arminio

Joan Patricia Falango Arminio, age 70, of Trumbull, died on Tuesday, April 26, 2005 in Maefair Health Care Center, Trumbull. Born in Bridgeport on March 30, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Patsy Michael and Concetta DeFeo Falango. Mrs. Arminio graduated from Lauralton Hall, St. Josephs University and the University of Bridgeport. She was a teacher for the Catholic Schools and the Trumbull Public Schools for over 30 years before her retirement. She was a member of the Trumbull Education Association, the Connecticut Education Association, the Trumbull Beautification Commission and the Trumbull Arts Commission. Mrs. Arminio loved to summer at Misquamicut Beach in Rhode Island where she planted flowers around the neighborhood to beautify the beach. She was also a member of the St. Clares Choir.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Dominic Arminio, a daughter, Dominique Doris and her husband, John of Trumbull, a son, David Vincent Arminio and his wife, Cheryl of Shelton, brother, Patsy Joseph Falango and his wife, Elizabeth Falango of Stratford, three grandchildren, Emily, Amanda and Alaina, devoted aunts and uncle, Kay Falango, Antoinette Marro, Concetta (Babe) Fusco and Vincent Fusco and many cousins. 

Funeral services will take place on Friday, April 29, 2005 at 8:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Chapel Mausoleum of St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
