Obituary of Lilly DiSesa

Trumbull Resident Lilly S. DiSesa, age 83, a long time resident of Trumbull, died suddenly on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 in Hamilton, NJ, which had been her home since January. She had moved to NJ to be close to her daughter, who was at her bedside, when she died. Lilly came to the U.S. from Jamaica BWI. as a young adult. She became a successful business woman first as a interior decorator, then a Real Estate Broker and later owned and operated a reducing salon. Most recently, Lilly was an activities director at St. Joseph's Manor working to enrich the life of seniors. Lilly was a long time member of the Trumbull Womans Club and Grace Episcopal Church. Survivors include her daughter, Thomazine Tukey and her husband Peter, a grandson David Tukey, two sisters, Elma Shaw and Lorell Shakes, a brother Harry Shakes and wife Joyce, Other living relatives in the US include nephews, Leroy, Sidney, David and Dale. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. directly in Grace Episcopal Church, 5958 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Those celebrating Lillys life are welcome after the burial for refreshment and fellowship at her home.
