Obituary of Flora Dorio

Flora Santora Dorio, age 83, formerly of Trumbull, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 16, 2005 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford following a long illness. Mrs. Dorio was born on July 7, 1922 in Bridgeport to James and Emma Nicholas Santora. She lived for many years in Bridgeport and Trumbull. Flora loved writing poetry, some of which was published.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Frank Dorio, her children, Frank Dorio and his wife, Maureen of Shelton, Robert Dorio and his fiance, Cynthia Mazza of West Haven, Joseph John Dorio of Stratford and Darlene Dorio Tickey and her husband, James of Shelton, her much loved grandchildren, Lisa Dorio Bain and her husband Reese of Shelton, Nicole Heriot of New York, James Tickey of Shelton, Jason Dorio of Pittsburgh, PA, Erik and Brett Dorio of Monroe, great granddaughter, Kristina Bain of Shelton, a brother, Vincent Santora and his wife, JoAnn of Bridgeport, two sisters, Vivian Garbutt of Bridgeport and Viola Harding of Shelton as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends can meet on Monday, July 25, 2005 at 10 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. There will be no calling hours.
