Obituary of James F. Fasanella

Resident of Trumbull James F. Fasanella of Trumbull, died peacefully in his home on Sunday, August 28, 2011. He was 98 years old and lived a full, happy life. He was born on February 6, 1913 in Bridgeport, He was the Son of Frank D. Fasanella and Elizabeth Weiler. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Antoinette (Dorothy) Gabriel of 58 years and his brother, Matt, and sister, Marie (Dolly) Milano. He is survived by his three sons, Frank T. Fasanella and his wife Trudy Dujardin,James J. Fasanella and his wife Teresa Bartolotta Fasanella,and Rick R. Fasanella and his wife Beth Martin Fasanella, his brother Frank (Lefty) of Boyton Beach, Florida and his sister, Clara Faulkner of West Melbourne, Florida, his grandchildren, Richard, and his wife Marisela and their son, Vidal, Nick, James, Kyle, Shayna, and Kristen and many nieces and nephews. Jim was a graduate of Central High School in Bridgeport, CT. and the New Haven College of Pharmacy, and a member of the Kapi Si Fraternity. He was a partner in Platt & Company with his brothers, Matt and Lefty, and brother-in-law Bill Faulkner. After closing Platt & Company, Jim enjoyed working at Globe Equipment until he retired. His life's passion was his family and friends. A close second place was fishing and gardening. He found great pleasure in giving away his own vegetables, flowers and fish to family and friends. Jim was a long time member of the Bridgeport Elks Club, President of the Mohegan Rod and Gun Club and a Life Member of the East End Yacht Club, and St. Theresa's Senior Club. Funeral Information There will be a Memorial Mass celebrated at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull, on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 11:00 am. There will be no calling hours.
