Obituary of Ann T. Micalizzi

Ann DeStefano Micalizzi, age 96, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Joseph P. Micalizzi, Sr. passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at The Ludlowe Center of Fairfield. Born in Bridgeport on October 24, 1917, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary Amodeo DeStefano. She was a longtime member of the Bethany Senior Center and found great enjoyment playing bingo. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Dianne Wells Micalizzi of Fairfield, son-in-law, Michael J. Valluzzo, Jr. of South Carolina, four grandchildren, Michael Christopher Valluzzo and his wife Janice of Trumbull, Ann Marie Lumpinski and her husband Michael of Woodbridge, Joseph P. Micalizzi, III of Bridgeport and Cara Micalizzi of Fairfield, six great grandchildren, Evan and John Lumpinski, Christopher and Stephen Valluzzo and Sydney and Joseph P. Micalizzi, IV, her sister, Peggy Gigliotti of Trumbull and her brother, George DeStefano and his wife Angie of Bridgeport. She was predeceased by her son, Joseph P. Micalizzi, Jr., her daughter, Joanne P. Valluzzo and eight siblings. Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
