Obituary of Howard Bohlin

On July 31, 2014 Howard J. Bohlin, of Trumbull, entered into eternal rest after a brave battle with cancer, surrounded by his family. Howard was born on March 1, 1956 to the late Helen and Howard Bohlin Sr. Howard was an incredibly loving father and faithful devoted husband. His wants and needs were simple and he lived for his family. Howard was a skilled and talented craftsman installing flooring with Courtesy Carpet for 38 years and was so dedicated to the job he even talked about it in his sleep. Howard helped train many young apprentices for the job and he was most respected and admired. His sense of humor never escaped him even in his sickness and pain. He is survived by his devoted wife Roxanne of 37 years, and his five loving children, Dana, Brandi, Jackie, Joey and Danny, and four cherished grandchildren Jasmine, Alex, Sam and Lily. He also leaves to cherish his memory three sisters, Diane Chop and her husband John, Linda Voytek and Christine McCormick, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family would like to take the time to thank the compassionate staff at St. Vincent's Medical center Tower 6A, and the SWIM Cancer Center radiology for their dedication of care to Howard during his time in the hospital. A Memorial Mass celebrating his life will take place on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family through the funeral director.
