Obituary of Bertha J. Costa

Bertha J. Costa, age 86, of Woodbridge, a home maker, died on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family. Born in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Rose Beck Fittig. Bertha enjoyed shopping trips to WalMart, playing Pinochle and the company of her devoted pets. She was predeceased by two brothers, Walter and Ewalt Fittig and her sister, Dorothy Wigglesworth. Survivors include her five daughters, Linda Dawson and her husband Scott of Texas, Laura Liskiewicz of Derby, Lorraine Meyer and her husband Don of Monroe, Lois Lee of Virginia and Louise Costa of Naugatuck, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Private family funeral services will be conducted and committal will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 455 Post Road East, Westport, CT 06880.
