Obituary of Judith Gulia

Judith Liebman Gulia, age 71, of Stratford, died on Friday, February 1, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport, on July 19, 1941, she was a daughter of the late William and Ann Liebman. Judith had formerly worked at Sikorsky Aircraft as a secretary. She proudly volunteered as an EMT for Trumbull EMS and enjoyed cooking for family, reading and sharing a good recipe. Survivors include her three children, Frank Gulia and his wife Kathy of Orange, Stephen Gulia and his wife Anne of Monroe, and Peggy Ortola and her husband Craig of Monroe, devoted companion Ralph Martire of Stratford, two sisters, Sandra Short and her husband Alvin and Mary Hirrold and her husband Edward, all of Arizona, six grandchildren, Kristina, Melissa, Michael, Gina, Joseph and Caroline Gulia, special cousin, Marion Vazzano, her former husband, Frank J. Gulia and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the entire supporting staff of Bridgeport Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion that had been extended to them. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 1 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Tuesday from 11:30 am until the time of services.
