Obituary of Frank J. Tyburski

Frank J. Tyburski, age 88, of Trumbull, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Nellie McLaughlin Tyburski. Born in Flemington, NJ, on March 18, 1926, he was a son of the late Peter and Anna Zientek Tyburski. Frank was a Sergeant in the US Army, having served honorably during World War II. He later was employed by Microphase Corp of Norwalk, where he worked as an Experimental Machinist before his retirement with more than 25 years of dedicated service. Frank found great enjoyment tending to his flower gardens and also took great pride in the care and upkeep of his home. He could often be found bird watching in his yard and even was known to feed sparrows directly from his hands. He loved going to tag sales and looked forward to his occasional trip to the casino or traveling with his family. Frank was extremely patriotic and was proud of the fact that he had never missed the opportunity to exercise his right to cast a vote in any and all elections. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his beloved wife of 49 years, Nellie, other survivors include his son, Frank A. Tyburski and his wife Lisa Acerbo of Trumbull, his two cherished granddaughters, Jessica Tyburski and Dominique Martin as well as several nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his sister, Viola Endris and two brothers, Edward and Joseph Tyburski. The family would like to thank Dr. Yousuf Ali, cardiologist, for his years of care, the West Haven VA Medical Center, and Lori and Jen, his home healthcare professionals. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
