In kind memory of our friend and colleague Hal Schneider from his friends at Bulls Press in Stockholm, Sweden. In his position as international sales manager at King Features we had the opportunity to get to know Hal as a friendly, positive person with a solid knowledge of the syndication business. Our meetings in New York as well as on our own turf in Scandinavia and Germany were events that we all looked forward to. My mother, Elizabeth Nolan, worked with Hal at King Features for over 25 years. She thought he was just the greatest. Somewhere in the "Great Beyond" the two of them are sipping tee martoonies and parsing the plural of mongoose. My condolences on your loss. Jim Nolan

Because I didn't have a brother (one sister only) it was always a special pleasure, when growing up, to go to cousin Hal's apartment in the Bronx. He had a sweet nature, a great welcoming smile, and was a joy to talk to. In later years we saw each other only seldomly, but always with interest in each other's life and family. It is sad now to know that our chance of contact has ended.

Hal was the kindest of mentors when I started working at King Features many years ago. He was always optimistic, ready with a wide smile and good advice. The famous Schneider cigar was legendary! I'm grateful to have known him and offer my sincere condolences to his family.

I am Hal's son in law ---Hal had a most special way to making you feel as if you were the most important person in the room. I loved him as I love my own father. He made me a better person than I could have imagined. Now, that's a legacy to emulate. :) peace to you, Hal.
