Obituary of Nancy E. D'Aiuto

Nancy E. Grillo D'Aiuto, age 84, of Shelton, beloved wife of Vito D'Aiuto Jr., passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Maefair Health Care Center, Trumbull, with her loving husband and son by her side. Born on October 19, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Armond and Emma Wallet Grillo. A graduate of Warren Harding High School, she was a retired EKG Technician from Bridgeport Hospital with 50 years of dedicated service. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who cared deeply for her family and will be missed by all. She was predeceased by her daughter Lisa Rose Wierzbicki and her brother, Armond Grillo Jr. In addition to her devoted husband of 59 years, Vito Jr., survivors include a loving son, Vito D'Aiuto III of Shelton, two cherished grandchildren, Lt. Trenton D'Aiuto and his wife Lauren of Jacksonville, FL and Joseph Wierzbicki of Stratford, two sisters, Edith Hultgren and Anita Gorton, both of Stratford, as well as several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will take place on Thursday July 2, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Catherine's Academy, 760 Tahmore Drive, Fairfield, CT 06825; a catholic school for children and young adults with mental disability which is attended by her niece.
